This policy explains how Earth Surveillance ApS handles personal data when you visit earthsurveillance.com or contact us. We collect as little as possible and only use it for the purpose we tell you about.
Who is responsible
Earth Surveillance ApS

Email: hello@earthsurveillance.com
We are the data controller. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to. Questions about your data go to hello@earthsurveillance.com.
When you contact us
When you use the contact form or write to us by email, we receive:
- your name and email address
- your organisation and country, if you give them
- the topic you choose and your message
We use these details only to answer you and to follow up on your request, for example by sending a quote or booking a conversation.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible agreement (GDPR article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our services (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
You decide what to write. You do not have to give us any details, but without a name and an email address we cannot answer you.
When you visit the website
The website is hosted by Vercel. Like all websites, Vercel automatically records technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure. We do not use this information ourselves. You can read how Vercel handles it in Vercel's privacy policy.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
Statistics and cookies
If you accept statistics in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to see how the website is used: which pages are read, from which country and on which kind of device. Google Analytics only starts after you accept. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie button on every page. Read more in our cookie policy.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing.
We use these suppliers, who process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement:
- Google (Google Workspace): our email.
- Vercel: hosting of the website and the contact form. The form runs in Frankfurt (EU) and passes your message on to our email without storing it.
- Google (Google Analytics): statistics on how the website is used, only if you accept.
- CookieYes: the cookie banner, which remembers your choice.
What you write to us through the contact form or by email is stored in the EU. Vercel, which hosts the website, is based in the United States and may process technical information such as your IP address there. That transfer is protected by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which Vercel is certified under, and by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Google, which provides Google Analytics, is also certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
If you become a customer or partner, we may share relevant details with our own advisers, such as our accountant, when this is needed to run our business.
How long we keep your data
- Enquiries from the contact form or by email: up to 24 months after our last contact, so we can follow up on an ongoing conversation. Then we delete them.
- If you become a customer: we keep what is needed for the agreement, and accounting records for 5 years as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act (bogføringsloven).
- Website logs: kept by Vercel, see Vercel's privacy policy.
- Statistics in Google Analytics: 14 months, then they are deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the data we hold about you
- have incorrect data corrected
- have your data deleted
- limit how we use your data
- object to our use of your data based on legitimate interest
- receive your data in a common format (data portability)
Write to hello@earthsurveillance.com and we will answer within one month.
You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, www.datatilsynet.dk. If you live in another EU country, you can also complain to the authority there.
No automated decisions
We do not use your data for automated decisions or profiling.

We update this policy when we change how we handle personal data. The date at the top shows the latest version.
